We are a non-profit Civil Association constituted with a goal to contribute to conservation, diffusion and development of the culture, crafts, uses, customs, music, dance, gastronomy, art, and the languages of the indigenous people of Mexico.
Our association is regulated by the Mexican laws and authorized to receive donations and issue tax deductible receipts
To meet our social objectives, we will carry out the following activities:
1.- To organize, disseminate and implement cultural and educational exchanges with students from national and foreign universities (Cultural Immersion Programs)
2.- To promote and disseminate the culture of the different towns of Mexico through fairs, exhibitions, workshops shows, excursions,and exhibitions in the different States of the Mexican Republic, as well as in other foreign countries
3.- To promote, organize and implement social works to benefit the Indigenous communities of Mexico

Meghan joins the Institute with enthusiasm to promote the maintenance and regeneration of the rich culture of Oaxaca. Meghan grew up in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Meghan attended McGill University in Montréal, Québec where they studied Sustainability, Science & Society with a minor in Urban Systems. Meghan is passionate about systems thinking, indigenous sovereignty, food sovereignty for all and delving into deeper connections within and between communities. Meghan sits on the Board of Directors for similarly-minded Canadian NGO SymBioSyn.
